Hearty Greetings and well wishes to friends and family from the Emerys!

As 2006 draws to a close, we pray that you have been able to see God’s blessings in your life. Despite many struggles, we have been blessed abundantly. Thanks for reading this newsletter and thank you for caring about our family!

Jeff continues to work at the Marriage and Family Institute as the clinic coordinator as well as carrying on with his ministry with the youth group in Gorman, TX. He also has enjoyed moonlighting a few hours each month at a local hospital as a chaplain. Big news for Jeff this year included turning 30 years old (!!!), starting work on his Master’s degree at ACU and entertaining himself with his new camera (and Photoshop).
Amelia labors on at Abilene Educational Supply Christian bookstore, which is owned by ACU. She has developed a friendship with a lady who sells Creative Memories scrapbook supplies (!!!) and enjoys scrapping any chance she gets. Amelia and Jeff took a sign-language course together recently and plan to take the intermediate class in the new year. In August, Amelia went to London for an exciting vacation where she actually got to stand inside the Stonehenge monoliths! She’ll be very busy going into the new year, as her manager will be on leave for about 8 weeks.

M
ary Hannah is in the process of outgrowing all of her clothing. She loves the color pink, puppies, reading and playing with her cohort of friends. She got to attend a cheerleading clinic at the beginning of the summer that she really enjoyed and has been a Junior Cheerleader at Abilene Christian Elementary. She recently stepped up a level in her reading at school and has been enjoying reading the AR books. She participated in Jump Rope for Heart and has helped her class collect money for medicine for Medical Missions and to assist needy families in Abilene. She turned 5 years old in May.
Ethan is in the Panda class at Rainbow Bible School and truly enjoys hanging out with his best friend, Robin. He turned 3 years old in July and managed to snag two birthday parties. The first one was in Abilene and then again in Enid when we went to visit our church family there. Dash Parr, son of Mr. Incredible has been quite the influence on Ethan this year, along with Spider-Man and Lightning McQueen. Ethan’s imagination is remarkably active and healthy.

Eleanor is a roller coaster ride of mayhem and mirth. She has certainly developed into her own distinct personality this year and she has grown considerably. Some days she seems to delight in tormenting her siblings (or parents or Nana and Papa) and in a flash, she’ll be hugging sweetly or capturing your heart with a smile. Ele has many special friends at church who love to see her each week, from her classmates in the cradle roll class to just about everyone who sits behind her during worship. One of her favorite things to do is take a bath, even when she has to crash Ethan’s bath time.
2007 is bright and we look forward to hearing from you and sharing our lives with you as God blesses
us with your friendship. May He richly bless you this coming year. Happy Holidays to you all.
